Jolin Tsai praised for charity work

(Toggle) Taiwanese singer Jolin Tsai, who has always been an ardent supporter of charity causes, was reported to have secretly made a hefty donation to charity last year.

Last September, the 36-year-old made an appearance at the annual Bazaar Star Charity Night dinner, where she performed a couple of her hit songs and made a donation of RMB$700 000 (approximately S$140 000), which helped to pay for 10 ambulances, unbeknownst to many.

Her kind deed only came to light recently, when the ambulances she sponsored was seen on the road as the vehicles carried her name.

Apart from her donation last September, Jolin has always been involved with various pet charities.

The singer recently collaborated with designer Justina Zun-Zun Chang to release a scarf featuring her beloved pet pooch, WooHoo, with all profits going towards charity.
