Taiwanese actress Ady An announced on her Weibo last night that she has tied the knot with her boyfriend of two years, Hong Kong multimillionaire Chen Ronglian.
The 36-year-old wrote on her Weibo post, “1230 days ago, you suddenly entered my word using the ‘Anywhere door’ (a door used by cartoon character Doraemon that transports the user to anywhere they desire). It took me 810 days to really get to know you. I never thought that I’d be subdued by you just like this. Okay then, I’ll be with you, eating and playing till we both get old.... The eternally young Mr Doraemon, please take good care of Mrs Chen in the days to come.”
A couple of fans also pointed out that the phrase “Okay then, I’ll be with you, eating and playing till we both get old,” is actually a line from the famous drama Chinese Paladin, which propelled Ady to fame 12 years ago.
It is said that Ady avoided dating rich businessmen like Ronglian, but he never gave up, chasing her from New York to Paris and Hengdian to Taiwan. Ady opened her heart to him when he accompanied her after the death of her good friend, Taiwanese singer Shone An.
After Ady announced her marriage, her manager posted pictures of the lovebirds from their wedding shoot, which took place in a number of places ranging from the cities of Brommat and Paris in France, to Matera and Alberobello in Italy.
The pictures were also taken by renowned photographer Lin Bing Cun, with celebrity stylist Roger in charge of styling the shoot.
