(CRI) Famous contemporary Chinese mainland opera singer Yan Weiwen has taken on a new role, producing a new film "My Kitchen Lover."
"My Kitchen Lover tells a story about delicious food and romance with obvious elements of comedy. It would have a stronger appeal among young audiences."
Yan Weiwen says Xiao Long Xia, or Red Swamp Crayfish, is the main motivation for producing the film.
He says he hopes the film will help promote crayfish recipes far beyond China.
South Korean boy band singer Kim Kibum, along with Taiwan actress Vivian Chen and mainland actress Xu Shendong are all featured in the new film.
