Lefkada, Greece: Taking a Chill Pill at Copla Beach Bar in Kathisma Beach

Kathisma Beach is the biggest and the longest stretch of white sandy shore, earning the most commercialised beach title in Lefkada Island.

Copla Beach Bar options: You can lounge by the pool or at the beach.

We spent a very long afternoon here at the beach at Copla Beach Bar. It’s a modern slash made to match the nature and its surroundings kind of beach bar. It has a large pool with many sunbeds and places-of-opportunity to chill out. The toilets and changing rooms here are clean, new and modern. There is of course a bar, as well a restaurant catering mostly snacks and light food. Most importantly the beach club has its own inhouse DJ, guaranteeing cool music is being played all throughout the day and into the night.

I actually found Copla Beach Bar after some hectic over Lefkada Island googling. It is one of the chic beach clubs in Kathisma Beach, or maybe, the best perhaps? That is never too far away from the truth!

Because we wanted direct access to the beach we decided to settle at the beach area where rows of sunbeds and parasols were parked. The sunbeds and parasols here at Copla are free to use as long as you buy your consumption from them.

Ah, a mojito is in order for me please!

I also sneakily brought some fresh snacks of watermelon, black olives and salami. It was still cold as I packed it in a plastic container wrapped in aluminium foil.

Copla comes highly recommend by us, especially if you are young and into partying – they have theme beach parties in the peak season (July through September) and the crowd here is really young, and quite local. The vibe reminds me of the Aloha Beach Bar in Glyfada Beach in Corfu and the Costa Costa Beach in Makris Gialos/Lassi in Kefalonia.

For those older and non-party folks, you can just settle here in the sidelines, such as hanging out at the beach instead of at the busy socials at the beach bar. I must admit that I really liked the continuous background music from the DJ which we could hear pretty well from our sunbeds at the beach.

The whole hot and sweaty afternoon was spent on doing nothing really, which isn’t new already in our books. It is given that we loved doing nothing much for our summer holidays.

I also just finished reading the ‘I am Pilgrim’ book but Terry Hayes which I would rate very high. I also was just beginning to read a new book written by JK Rowling under her pseudonym, Robert Galbraithe, but the book was such a drag, until now I am stuck in chapter 5 I think? *sigh*

Anyway, these pictures for this entry is all about Copla Beach Bar. I will post more pictures of Kathisma Beach next.

I am showing off some plump cherries here and finishing off the "I am Pilgrim" book.

A mojito cocktail in a plastic cup =)

I just had a dip in the water.

The light snack I prepared: sliced melon, black olives, pickles and salami.

Dutch mother also chilling out with a book.

There are many forms of beds and pillows like this up for grabs at the Copla Beach Bar.

The DJ here playing his wave of songs.

I would love to get one of these.... but it is a first come first serve basis.
