See You Tomorrow, a film directed by popular writer Zhang Jiajia and produced by award-winning Hong Kong director Wong Kar-wai, has received a release date of December 23 for the Chinese mainland.
The film is an adaptation of Zhang Jiajia's hit book I Belonged to You.
Zhang rose to fame when he posted 33 short stories based on his real life experiences on social media platform Sina Weibo. These stories proved very popular, being forwarded more than 1.5 million times and receiving over 400 million views in total.
In 2013, these stories were edited into the compilation I Belonged to You, which soon became a best-seller on many platforms. It ranked at No.1 on Amazon and Kindle e-books in 2014.
The film adaptation features an A-list cast, including Tony Leung, Takeshi Kaneshiro, Eason Chen and Angelababy in main roles, and popular actor Lu Han and actress Li Yuchun in cameo roles.
