On July 18, 2023, King Charles and Queen Camilla hosted a reception at Windsor Castle, to celebrate the work of William Shakespeare, on the 400th anniversary of the publication of the first Shakespeare Folio. The Duchess of Edinburgh and The Duchess of Gloucester were present at the reception. The First Folio is the first collected edition of William Shakespeare's plays, collated and published in 1623, seven years after his death.
