On October 12, 2021, King Felipe and Queen Letizia, accompanied by Infanta Sofia, presided over the solemn act of homage to the National Flag and the military parade which both took place at the Plaza de Lima in Madrid. Afterwards, King Felipe and Queen Letizia hosted the traditional reception of the National Day at the Royal Palace of Madrid.
