Princess Beatrix of The Netherlands opened the Prince Claus Bridge in Dordrecht on Tuesday afternoon, October 26. The pedestrian and cyclist bridge over the Wantij (waterway) connects the new Stadswerven district with the city center. Construction of the bridge started in 2020 after the municipality organized a competition for the design. Princess Beatrix opened the bridge after she welcomed pedestrians and cyclists on the bridge. She also spoke with those involved in the design and construction.
