On Wednesday, September 8, 2021, Queen Margrethe II attended the premiere of the film 'Margrete den første' (Margrete the First) at the Imperial Cinema in Copenhagen. The Queen was welcomed by the title character Danish actress Trine Dyrholm and the film's Danish director Charlotte Sieling. The Queen Margrethe and Prince Henrik's Foundation has provided support for the film, which interprets the life story of Queen Margrethe I.
