On June 11, 2021, The Duchess of Cambridge and First Lady of the US Dr Jill Biden visited Connor Downs Academy in Hayle. The Duchess and First Lady Dr Biden toured a classroom, meeting some of the pupils from the school's Reception class. The Duchess and Dr Biden then attended a roundtable discussion with a number of representatives from the early years sector. The Duchess wore a new midi pencil dress from Alexander McQueen.
