Historic Botanical Garden's 100th anniversary was celebrated on June 23, 2021 and Princess Benedikte participated in the anniversary event at Vordingborg Borgruin. Upon arrival, the Princess was welcomed by the Mayor of Vordingborg Municipality Mikael Smed and Chair of the Board of Museum Sydøstdanmark Torben Nielsen. Karen Agnete Viborg, 101 years old, presented the Princess with a bouquet of flowers.
