Queen Sonja paid a pre-Christmas visit to Oslo Crisis Center together with Oslo Mayor Marianne Borgen. The crisis centre provides refuge to victims of domestic violence. Every month, Oslo Crisis Center receives between 200 and 250 new applications from victims of violence. Around 25 of these are transferred to the residential center due to the severity of the violence and the threat to the victim. The rest receive assistance through Oslo Crisis Center's day care center, or advice and guidance over the telephone. Today, 28 adults and 12 children have protection at the center.
