The Countess of Wessex visited the National Space Centre to mark "World Space Week" and to see their educational programmes in action. At the Centre - which recently reopened to visitors - The Countess was joined by Helen Sharman, the first British astronaut to go into space. (The Countess of Wessex wore a new patch pocket fitted jacket by Victoria Beckham.)
The Countess met a small group of students participating in the National Space Academy’s Engineering Course at the National Space Centre. The Countess and Helen Sharman spoke to the students about ways to inspire the next generation to embrace science and space education.
