On October 8, 2020, Queen Maxima conducted the virtual opening of new manufacturing facility of Dutch company Prodrive Technologies in Canton, United States. Queen Maxima conducted the virtual opening together with the Massachusetts State Governor Charlie Baker, partly in her role as member of the Netherlands Committee for Enterprise.
Prodrive Technologies researches, develops and manufactures ingenious software and mechanical and electronic parts for machines in innovative sectors. The company is a supplier to the semiconductor industry, the medical sector and the automobile industry, as well as providing infrastructure and energy technologies.
On October 8, 2020, Queen Maxima offered United Nations Secretary General Antonio Guterres her annual report as United Nation's Secretary General's special Advocate on Inclusive Finance For Development from Her Majesty's office at Huis ten Bosch Palace in The Hague.
