On September 30, 2020, Danish Crown Princess Mary attended the Danish Rainbow Awards - Axgil 2020 ceremony at The Circus Building (Cirkusbygningen) in Copenhagen. The Danish Rainbow Awards AXGIL is a non-profit event organized by volunteers. Crown Princess Mary attended Axgil's award ceremony for the first time in 2018 and received Danish Rainbow Honor Award 2018.
The Awards honor individuals and companies that in the past year have made a positive and significant difference in the LGBT community. The Awards were given in eight categories. The show was 2 ½ hours long and was a mix between presentation of the awards and various forms of entertainment. The show was performed in Danish, but naturally the event and the following party was open to everyone. In addition, everyone was able to vote. Crown Princess Mary wore a new tuxedo jumpsuit from Max Mara.
