Last week I met with NARS to recreate 3 runway beauty looks I saw in New York, and I can honestly say this was the most fun, adventurous, out-of-my-comfort-zone in the best possible way experience ever! If you’ve been following me for a while, you know that when it comes to make-up, I am pretty set in my ways. Eyeliner, dewy skin, understated cheek and lip color is how I would describe my go-to look. But after my meeting with NARS, I realized just how fun it is to try something new. Beauty never stays still, every season brings new trends, colors, and techniques and 3 below looks are definitely very of the moment yet entirely wearable, incredibly flattering and something you can easily incorporate into your beauty routine.
My first favorite look was the dewy, just came back from vacation make-up NARS team created for Alejandra Alonso Rojas Show. NARS is known for beautiful skin and very natural-looking sun-kissed fresh glow, and this look was no exception. Skin is of course the foundation of this look (listing all the products below), and the glow was achieved by layering Copacabana Multiple Stick, Little Princess Lipstick, Afterglow Overlust Cheek Palette, Alhambra Duo Eyeshadow, Orgasm Illuminating Loose Powder, Savage Blush. Yes, lipstick as a blush and base, applied with fingertips and the result was absolutely beautiful! I also loved the way Bettina Velvet Matte Lip Pencil was used as a base for the eyes. It creates a very subtle, shimmery lid which is perfect to wear on its own during the day (Totally stealing that idea!). I also absolutely loved this lip color! Talk about a nude lip done right… The glow adds depth and dimension and takes the color to the next level (listing all products below).

Another favorite, NARS team created this look for the Adeam Show. A great alternative to your usual evening look, I really love the idea of fresh face and clean lip paired with a dramatic eye. A strong focal point (especially a strong eye) is something you will see quite a bit for spring, and I thought that gilded liner was an absolutely brilliant idea. Universally flattering, it’s actually really easy to replicate. Simply apply Shock Em Powerchrome Loose Eye Pigment as an eye liner, and keep the rest of your face clean and understated. Finish this look with Clean Cut Lip Balm and voilà, you’re ready for a night out!

Last but certainly not least is the dramatic lip moment NARS team created for Rodarte Show. Personally, I love the idea of dark lip for Spring! Normally, we gravitate towards softer, lighter colors this time of the year, but I think dark lip pairs beautifully with softer, feminine Spring pieces to create a very edgy statement. Once again, skin is the foundation of this look. Personally, I find that when you wear dark lip colors, it is really important to start with a very clean-looking, fresh skin. To perfect the skin NARS artists used Natural Radiant Longwear Foundation, Radiant Creamy Concealer, Soft Matte Complete Concealer, Tinted Glow Booster, Tempted Blush, Orgasm X Blush (use this one if you have a deep skin tone). This lip color is my new personal favorite! A great shade to add to your arsenal of evening lip colors, this dark, moody wine shade pairs beautifully with softer, lighter spring pieces and adds a bit of drama and edge to your evening looks.
