State visit of Queen Silvia and King Carl Gustaf to Ireland, 3rd day

On the third and last day of their visit to Ireland, King Carl Gustaf and Queen Silvia visited Athlone, Galway and Clare. The King and The Queen firstly visited Ericsson Athlone Campus and were welcomed by senior vice president of Ericsson, Jan Karlsson. Afterwards, The King and The Queen visited the Marine Institute in Galway. The Marine Institute’s primary role is to undertake and co-ordinate marine research and development. Next, The King and The Queen of Sweden visited an Eco FarmHouse in the village of Ballybornagh in Clare. The visit to Ireland ended with the Burren Smokehouse visit. The Burren Smokehouse is a family-run business set up in 1989.
