(China Plus) Organizers of the 22nd Shanghai International Film Festival have released its official poster, titled "Creative Heroes Behind the Scenes" on Monday.
Designed by Huang Hai, the poster draws its inspiration from "Havoc in Heaven," a film produced by Shanghai Animation Film Studios telling the story of China's legendary hero, the Monkey King.
The poster features a waterfall curtain, the word "22," and the "Monkey King" appearing from the stage to the back of the scene, with his wise and playful eyes on the audience watching the stage, expecting surprises from the film creators.
According to SIFF organizers, the poster is a tribute to the heroes behind the scenes, honors the collective wisdom and devotion of film creators and encourages young filmmakers to seek their dreams.
Founded in 1993, SIFF is a non-specialized competitive feature film festival in China recognized by the International Federation of Film Producers Association (FIAPF).
The latest version is scheduled to run from June 15th to 24th.
