| On December 13, Queen Letizia chaired the meeting of presentation of conclusions of "The Voice of Rural Women in the World" congress held by AFAMMER (Confederation of Federations and Associations of Rural Families and Women). The meeting was held at Marriott Auditorium Hotel & Conference Center in Madrid. The purpose of the Congress is to review the situation of women in rural areas over the past 20 years, to discuss some of the problems that are still existent, such as inequality, discrimination and a lack of respect for human rights and to deliver solution proposals. |
