| On the 3rd of October, 2018, Childhood USA hosted the 2018 ThankYou Awards gala at Cipriani 25 Broadway in New York in the presence of Queen Silvia of Sweden and Princess Madeleine of Sweden. During the Gala, leaders who have significantly furthered the cause of children's rights were honored, including: Marta Santos Pais, Special Representative of the Secretary-General on Violence against Children; Baroness Joanna Shields, founder of WePROTECT; Hugh Evans, Co-founder and CEO of Global Citizen; and Tony Maddox, EVP of CNN International and the CNN Freedom Project. (At the gala night, Swedish Princess Madeleine wore floral print gown by Giambattista Valli, which she had worn before). |
