On March 19, 2018, Grand Duke Henri and his wife Maria Teresa were welcomed by French President Emmanuel Macron and First Lady Brigitte Macron with a state ceremony at Elysee Palace in Paris. The state visit of a Luxembourg delegation to France is the first in 40 years, after Grand Duke Jean was the last Luxembourg monarch to visit the 'Hexagon' in 1978. |
