As the story goes, Social has pioneered the café meets collaborative workspace concept, providing patrons and registered co-workers the best of a workspace (by day) and the best of a bar (by night).
On 18th November 2016, Social takes it a step further by opening its doors to all those interested in experiencing a day, working out of our collaborative workspaces. Enter the National Open House at Social - a day which will be hosted simultaneously at all Social outlets with workspaces across the country and will witness prominent speakers speaking to our guests on a wide range of subjects ranging from design, travel, art and the importance of effective networking to even problem solving via mathematics!
With the Open House, Social invites everyone to an exclusive entrepreneur experience, where you can #GetOffline and still be connected; an event where you can network, synergize with like minded people and make your inspired ideas come to life. You also get to enjoy access to their wall-to-wall uber high-speed WiFi, on-demand printing and scanning, office stationery, unlimited tea/coffee and a 10% discount on the membership fee if you sign up on the spot (which of course is fully redeemable through food and drink). Who thought working could be so fun?
“Social is all about creating and supporting an inspiring community of people. The idea is to bring them together and back them up with abundant opportunities to form valuable collaborations which assist them in growing their business and network,” says Shobita Kadan, Director - Marketing & Strategy, Impresario (Parent company of Social). “With our first ever National Open House, we aim to achieve the same on a larger scale connecting all 3 cities that our workspaces are currently present in. We want designers to meet entrepreneurs, artists to meet writers, and other like minded, driven folks to get together and bring their ideas to life.”
Since its launch in 2014, the Social Workspaces have hosted more a number of inspired souls who have come together to work, inspire and collaborate with each other. They encourage the workspace members to get to know each other better during an informal #CollaborativeHour. Additionally, they also share with them a database of all #SocialWorkers so they can find it easier to collaborate on skill based requirements at the same place. Some examples of ideas that have come to life in the confines of the Social workspaces; Food Talk India, Urban Clap, Indus Vox Media - a podcast company initially started out of Social is now running strong with a 8 member team, and currently works out of their own office space right next to Khar Social.
Aman, an entrepreneur in the Lifestyle Consumer Electronic space and a #SocialWorker at Hauz Khas Social co-founded boAt, which is already one of the leading brands in music accessories in 1 year of existence available at many retail platforms across India. boAt is launching IOT Connected devices by the second quarter.
Another one is – Mr. Kabir Uppal, one of the first members at the Workspace in Hauz Khas Social, conceptualized and grew FitNut, a technology-driven start-up bringing fitness coaches and nutritionists right to your Android and iOS devices.
This Open House promises to be a great opportunity to meet the current members and get a feel of working out of the Social Workspaces and of course, experience some truly tantalizing food and drinks and a fun day of events at each outlet.
