Mr. Ravindra Mardia, Founder, ICAC & The Art Hub shares, "For the students it acts as a platform of introduction to an area of interest, allowing them to sample a method or craft at low cost.  For the pros conducting the workshops it’s a great interactive networking event, whereby they can show their skills on a one-to-one basis to a large amount of people in short time. Therefore, leaving a memorable experience for all"
He further adds, “Today the knowledge about art is easily available on the internet but learning online is not the correct way completely to start with.So to aid assistance to serious learners and amateurs on art, these art programmes will prove to be a boon".
Scarlett Studio has been conducting workshops for art aspirants for the past 17 years.  A success story of over 200 workshops, 600 and more students, short term courses, long term art programs, lectures on art education, etc. Artist Ritu Singh is an experienced art teacher who will personally take all the workshops and talks. She adds, "At Scarlett Studio we have always been instrumental in imparting knowledge and creating several path-breaking workshops.  This new schedule of workshops is sure to help emerging artists in learning new techniques, mediums and solving problems. Art school training and academic institutes depend on traditional methods of education which is practically obsolete in the present speed obsessed, experimental world of mixed media art. Art now is about learning with an open mind, experimenting and practicing in innovative methods. My idea is to teach the secrets.....! Here, come & learn OPEN mindedness, respect for craft and skills, mixed media without confusion”
Demonstrations with hands on training on subjects like Relief painting, Paper Machie sculpture, Mural, Charcoal rendering, textures etc are vital to new artists as these are not taught in academies. Hobby schools belittle the scope of these terrific mediums. The aim is to teach and mentor learners who claim to be self taught, half educated, lost in confusion or else closed to innovation. The Art world is never stagnant so learning is forever! A mentor can chisel a raw mind to a fine enlightened one only when she knows the stone and the tools well. The aim is to unschool but Teach, so as to open the CREATIVE VISION.
The workshops include Relief Painting in folk style, 5 days mentorship programme, Talks on Understanding Mixed Media, Demonstration on sculpture in paper Mache & Stone effect, Rendering in Charcoal – New Techniques, Oil Paintings, Abstraction and Figurative, Drawing & Picasso-Doodling Session and more are scheduled on the weekends commencing from 19th Nov – 31st Dec 2016.
