| Crown Princess Mary of Denmark presented this year's Hans Christian Andersen Literature Award with a ceremony held at Odense Town Hall (Odense Radhus) on October 30, 2016 in Odense, Denmark. Japanese author Haruki Murakami was deemed worthy of the award this year. Hans Christian Andersen Award was firstly given in 2007. Until today, that prestigious award has been given to Salman Rushdie, Isabel Allende, J.K. Rowling and Paulo Coelho. |
