HOPE' the long awaited annual program of the Pediatric department of Tata Memorial Hospital is back. To help patients children cope with their long and difficult journey, we regularly organize programs for children during occasions like Diwali, Christmas, Children’s Day, etc. One such event that is most celebrated every year is 'HOPE'. 'HOPE', as the word signifies, is a strong and positive belief of victory over cancer. It is a celebration to spread the message in the society and country, that “Childhood Cancer is Curable”. Our efforts in form of 'HOPE' started in 2008 and it is now the biggest annual event for pediatric cancer patients not only in Tata Memorial Hospital but even in India. Throughout the months of October to December, professionals from various fields like art, dance, music and photography conduct workshops for these patients in the hospital. These accomplishment of children are highlighted on the day of 'HOPE'. For the current year, we started our workshops on 6th October. Until now we have conducted workshops on puppet making, keychain making, diya decoration, rangoli, earings from quilling, rangoli from acrylic sheet, and envelope decoration.
